The movie “Diaplous – Tales of Hope”

The short documentary “Diaplous – Tales of Hope” (Athens, Greece) was completed in early 2019 and it is directed by Iphigenia Kotsoni.

The documentary gives voice to the stories of the employees of the Social Cooperative “Diaplous”, situated in Athens, Greece. The employees regain their lives through work, proving that it can be a vehicle of empowerment for people at risk of social exclusion, conveying hope for a world that endures to embrace us all.

Screenings – Participations:

It has been screened at the Drama 2019 short film festival, at the Ierapetra 2020 International Documentary Film Festival and it is selected to participate in the Athens short film festival 2020.

It has also been screened at various venues in Athens: Trianon Cinema/event of Drama Festival,  Greek Film Archive / Diaplous Cooperative Event,  Center for Social Dialogue of Pan-Hellenic association for psychosocial rehabilitation and vocational reintegration, while it has travelled through the Drama Festival to various cities in Greece.

It has also been screened for educational reasons to the Research Laboratory of the Postgraduate Studies program “Administration and Management of Health and Social Care Services” of the University of West Attica,  at the 28th Panhellenic Psychiatry Conference (Nov 2020) of the Hellenic Psychiatric Society and participated at the festival Art4more (Art and Mental health)  that has taken place from 27 to 29 Nov 2020 (organized by EDRA COOP in Athens). Participation in other festivals is expected.
